Lil Wayne — Tha Carter VI

Del the Funky Homosapien said that rappers got around $1 for every album sold in the 90s. Nowadays, artists get paid something like one cent for every time someone streams their whole album. Do people listen to albums 100 times? Probably not. Lil Wayne cares less about making a good album for the listener, and maybe he’s justified because artists are mostly getting paid less nowadays. It’s true to him, and not great either. It’s not as bad as people are saying it is, and like I said, Lil Wayne is getting something like one cent for every time someone plays the entire album. Lil Wayne sampling an elephant reminds me of Riff Raff sampling a dolphin. I liked Nicki Minaj’s feature and the other bonus track was OK.
